About the lab
Software that stays out of your way.
Faizan Digital Lab is a curated set of browser-only utilities for developers. It exists because the tools we all reach for — a quick JSON formatter, a regex sandbox, a UUID generator — shouldn't require sign-ups, uploads, or a network round-trip.
Every utility runs inside your browser tab. Your data never leaves the device.
Static HTML, no auth walls, no splash screens. First paint in under a second.
Copy, clear, focus — designed to keep one hand on the keyboard.
MIT-licensed. No premium tier, no dark patterns, no upsell modals.
Our history
How the lab came to be
Faizan Digital Lab started as a bookmark folder that kept growing. Below is the short version of how it turned into a permanent, open toolkit.
- 2022The scratch tabs
It started as a personal collection of half-finished CodePens — a JSON prettifier here, a regex scratchpad there. Nothing shared, nothing organized.
- 2023First public utility
The JSON formatter went online as a single static page. No analytics, no accounts — just a URL to share with teammates when Slack messages mangled their payloads.
- 2024A proper toolkit
Twelve more utilities landed in a single tab: base64, hashing, UUIDs, timestamps. The design language settled around 'quiet, fast, keyboard-first'.
- 2025The lab opens
Everything moved under one roof at faizandigital.dev. The site got a name, an about page, and a promise: every tool stays free and runs entirely in the browser.
- 202627+ tools, one tab
The lab now ships a website builder, an MCP server for AI assistants, and a growing set of everyday utilities — still with zero server round-trips for the tools themselves.
Who's behind it
The lab is built and maintained by Faizan — a developer who wanted a permanent home for the small utilities that would otherwise live as scratch tabs. Everything is open, quiet, and built to last.
